Subject: 10"breather vs cold air

i currently have cold air intake on my truck and have been considering changing to the autozone special. has anyone tried both and which is better.

i had a mopar cold air intake (like the k&n) and one of the edelbrock flo pro triangular intakes (another autozone special). I would say that i got the same kinda power out of them but the mopar cold air intake got a LOT better gas mileage, city and highway.... about 3 mpg difference on both

i would suggest to stick with what you got and not spend anymore money (so you can use it elsewhere)

Im with intense on this one, keep your cold air, the 10" Autozone specials are actually too small and will starve these motors for air, I found this out on a dyno. I lost about 3hp with the autozone special

i dont think that will fit on the V6 motor... that pesky cowl is a little too close. I have seen them on V8 with no room to spare.

I have a 10" X 3" on my 2000 3.9 edelbrock on mine. It just touches the hood.
