Message: I am going to be installing a set of aftermarket foglights on my 97 Sport (V6, 5sp) and I want to tap the lights into my parking lights, so whenever I switch them on, the fogs come on as well.
I had this done to my previous car too, but I don't know where the wire is to tap into the parking lights...
Anyone know? need to make sure it's the PARKING LIGHTS and not the blinkers :) that would suck having the damn things flashing, hehe
TIA for your help

Message: Yup. Use a multimeter/voltage probe or even one of those light bulb wire testers. Get close to the lamp assembly and there should be three wires: a common ground, a hot lead for the low-wattage filament (parking lights) and a hot lead for the high-wattage filament (the turn signal). It's just a matter of deduction after that...

Message: It would be easier to buy the adaptor for the radio to the stock wiring harness. Check the Haynes manual you find at parts stores. They have general wiring schemitics. You can find detailed schematics only in a factory service manual. I found a factory service manual for my truck at www.ebaymotors.com
