Message: all u need for the swap is a v8 TB and the throttle cable the v6 cable will not work its a pretty easy swap the hardest part is gettin the old cable out of the firewall. for me it was one of the best mods i did besides makin my own air intake and IAT relocation. as far as the injectors go im not 100% sure if theyre gonna work mine is a 00 and they wont on mine

Message: You don't NEED to swap cables. See my post on V-6 to V-8 TB swap without replacing cable. Save the cash for other things. This is of course using a stocker TB.

Message: I have done this. But now I have a question. By using the V8 cable the accelerator pedal now feels lower than before. Is this normal? Any help would be appreciated.

Message: J2ZKota,
The pedal feels "lower"? Is that lower to the floor? There shouldnt be any reason for this, just make sure you have run the V8 cable in a nice smooth arc and that it is not kinked. Mine took a while to break it in, it was a little stiff at first. Maybe yours juat needs to stretch out some. i dont think it is anything to worry about as long as the cable is hooked up right and the pedal does not stick.

Message: Thanks Texas97!
But heres the thing. The pedal does feel lower to floor. I was doing some highway driving and the most I got out of my truck was 90 mph (with the pedal to the floor). Could the cable be too long?
