Subject: help with trouble codes IP: Logged
Message: I'm at 44,500 miles on my 2000 Dakota w/ a 3.9L V6 and my check engine light just came on yesterday for the first time. I'm assuming there is a way I can asses the reason behind the warning light. Is there a series of beeps or flashes that will give me a place to start looking for the problem? Thanks in advace, I need all the help I can get on this.

Message: I guess I'll reply to my own thread. I performed the on/off/on/off/on procedure with the ignition and got the code P0138. According to www.odbii.com this code means - Oxygen sensor 1/2 input voltage maintained above normal operating range. So which Oxygen sensor do I need to replace? Thanks

Message: I'm assuming that by "1/2" they mean Bank 1, Sensor 2? If so then its one of the ones behind the cat, i don't remember which though.
