Does anyone have a set of 3.91 gears in their rearend? I have the 3.55's and was wondering how much of a difference they would make in performance and on my gas milage.

I have the 3.91 gears in th back along with a posi unit. However i started with 3.21's in the back. My gas milage didn't realy change much, on the highway doing 70 - 75 i still get any where from 17 - 18 (thats what the trip computer actually reads) Really i get about 17.4 - 18.3 when i actually do the math on it. Keep in mind i'm pushing 3000 rpms in 5th gear while doing 75. The stock gas milage before the gear change was 18 - 20. As far as street driving goes i didn't see a change there either.

What size tires are you running? Right now I have 275/55/17. Would I be alright staying with this size and changing gears or would I be better off altogether with 3.91 gears and 255/50/17 tires?
