My windshield wipers stop in the up position???

They work just fine, but always come to rest straight up.

I don't remember doing anything before it happened the first time. How can I fix it.

If you've recently worked on your truck's interior, specifically under the dash, there is actually a windshield wiper position sensing module. My truck took a while after removing this and fiddling around with the system before they actually set themselves right again. Mine were all over the place. They would freeze in the upright position, they would only go halfway up before turning around and goign back down. Everything. Even if you haven't fooled with the module, check it out anyway. If you've got the 92, its on a piece of metal that runs directly under the entire dash to the passenger side of the vehicle where it meets up with the computer. Its a grey box that slips over the end of this piece of metal. I actually think its labeled "Windshield Wiper Position Sensor" or something along those lines.

I've got my Haynes with me right here. If I have time between gin shots, I may open it and repost exactly about it.

I found a black piece of plastic that has about 6-8 wires hooked to it. It says pulse intermittent wipe system. When I unhook it, the delay part of the wipers does not work. How do I adjust it, though?
