whats up ya'll, i've got a '00 'kota and i bought a gibson exhaust for it about a year ago. i'm not all too happy with it and i was wondering if i could keep all the tubing that came with it and just replace the muffler with a borla or maybe even a dynomax? thanks.

I have a Borla cat back with 5 inch tips and have been very pleased with it, while My female is running a flowmaster with the same tips.
the borla did help my mpg, my girls flowmaster 40 series is louder.

Hold on... thats almost half a foot wide. Thats a -big- freaking tip. Thats like... coffee can sized...
What is the draw to a tip that size? Thats twice as big around as the pipe leading to it!

yeah i agree...gibson sux...loud enough to annoy, but not loud enough to impress(or scare) sounds kindof weird too. all the ricer civics have louder mufflers

I have dynomax. I am not sure if it is the muffler, or new catalitic converter. But when I went from a bad converter, and flowmaster, I lost power.
But I like the quiet deep tone of the dynomax, so I shall keep it.
Keeping the tubing from prev system should not be big deal. Any decent mufflershop should be albe to splice in a new muffler for ya.
