I went the cheaper route, I bought a new V8 TB & Cable from Dodge got about $200. in it Plus I have sense ported it (remove the TQ step & air horns)
If I had it to do over again knowing what I do now I would go with the F&B 48mm ............No porting No air horns No tq step & No cable change, It would be worth the extra .....IMOA

is there any significant diff. between the 48 and 50, or will the 48 work better than the 50? theres a groups buy and I am debating, I just want to make sure I'm spending the dough on something that will make a differance and not a waste of cash. Thanks for the reply

F&B 48 is perfect for the 3.9L-- Unless you are doing a cam, head work.. the 48mm works great.. actually flows more than a stock V8 tb, and has the correct velocity for the 3.9L--

If you want more info, let me know.

With the mods you have listed the 48mm will cover you for a good while.
You should have a turbo or supercharger if going bigger than that.

thanks guys, this definatly helps. I 'm sure you can understand that I wanted to make the right choice as far as size. Honestly I was afraid of going to small/big for the buck. As always you guys have helped again, thanks for the replies.
