This can be either good or bad depending on the fix you need:

Adjust belt tension and use belt dressing if you're into that (i'm not, good tension and good belts is adequate). If the squeek remains:

1. Is it the clutch? Easy fix get a new fan clutch.

2. Still Squeeking? Squeekers up front are most probably a) some other belt (if you got v-belts), b)Air pump when really cold, c)water pump. Be sure it is a "squeek" and not the type of squeel you get from the P/S pump. Check fluid in pump and other belt tensions. Note: I have never heard of a silicon loaded clutch fan by mopar "squeek". this oil kinda lubricates it as it leaks out and fails, leaving the noticable mess all over itself that you can easily see and indicates it is time to replace it.

How Many miles you got? at about 80K +/- you should start thinking about a new water pump, hoses, and belts. If all this doesn't help, look at all other belt driven components.

Good luck

Don't use belt dressing! Our belts are made
to run dry. I made that mistake once, and
not only did I have to get a new belt, I had to
use brake cleaner to get it off the pulleys and
stop the slipping and sliding.

you must be refering to a kitty cat as a cat converter cannot squeek like a belt. ever. Sometimes under high humidty the belts will squeek, I replace the stockers with goodyear gatorbacks with exellent results. Or you could have a bearing going bad in a component driven by the belt, or in your idler pully.

Mine is a 99, 3.9 Dakota
They have a "Viscous" coupled fan hub
The fans hub is filled with silicone to change the fans speed when the engine is hot and cold

My fans hub bearing wore out letting the fan wobble back and forth.

This vibration also took out my waterpump by wearing its drive shaft where the fan attatches and letting it leak.

The good news is the waterpump is cheaper than the stupid Viscous fan hub.

But beware the Viscous fan must be stored and shipped in an upright position or the silicone will contaminate the fans bearing(Hmmmmm)

Chrysler Crap!!!!
