Subject: What does orvr stand for? IP: Logged
Message: In my 2003 owners manual under fluid capacities the reg/clubcab fuel capacity states that in metric terms 76L w/orvr, 83L w/o orvr.
What does orvr stand for?
Since I own the clubcab does this mean I have an 83L tank? The quadcab has a 91L tank.
HELP.

Let's take another approach here. For those of you who have a 2001-2003 v6 Dakota 4x4 clubcab, what size is your gas tank?

Message: orvr?
I -think- it's some sort of gas-vapor recovery system... something to do with emissions I believe. I'm not entirely sure of the specifics, I did a look up on Google and found a few sites that referenced gas pumps and gasoline vapor recovery systems on vehicles...
Which... is to say... I have no real idea what it stands for. :0)

Message: This is the darn thing I had problems with. The dealer kept telling me it was the gas cap. After many presure checks that they said it was good, I find a hose dissconected to this orvr system. Well, at least I never had that problem again.
Wouldn't want any other!

Anyway thanx to spitfire for the link, that helps.
Metalgreendak are you sure you get 400 miles to a tank? Maybe you mean kilometers. So far the best I've gotten is 383km to a tank but the needle was only on the red line. Which brings me to my next question, how far past "empty" or past the red line will the needle go before I absolutley have to refuel?
Don't raz me for using the good 'ol Canadian metric system....eh!

Message: Wow thanks spitfire. It scared the hell out of me a few times. I thought my R/T was about to become a rolling ball of flames. It always perplexed me why you could smell gas in the cab so strongly so suddenly and then it would dissapear. No puddles of fuel anywhere to be seen, no puddles under the truck, and even with the vent closed you would still get the gasoline vapors in the cab. Shazam! Mistery Solved!

Message: Have a '04 Dakota Club cab and need to replace tank and filler plumbing assembly. Is the 22 gal tank and filler apparatus interchangeable with the 20, or are the connections to the vehicle, etc., different?
