Message: well in my cc 01 v-6 2wd it took a gear swap, tb, headers, intake, msd setup, plugs, 180 t-stat, exaust, an s-bolt, and a few other minor tweaks and i can most definitley keep up with a stock cc r/t

Message: hate to say it but I doubt your keeping up with r/t's in your heavy gen3 club cab with just those mods... heres my mods and it doesnt have too much trouble with any r/t's
96 Sport 5spd, 2/4 drop. 2000 Durango rims. Stock 93 3.9l Block, rods, pistons. Turned/polished crank, KRC pocket port/polished heads, Double Roller Chain, KRC200 Cam(200/206-504/512 112ls), Mopar R/T springs, 1.6Mopar RR, Ported and powdercoated intake manifold, Custom Fastman 50mm TB, 14x3 K&N, Jet stage 2 Chip, 1993 HO manifolds and Y pipe, Catco cat, 3in exhaust, Flowmaster with cuda tips. MSD6a, BlasterSS coil, MSD 8.5mm wires, asp underdrive pulley, 1993 return style fuel system. 24# FMS inj, Hurst Shifter, Centerforce Dual Friction Clutch, 3.90 gears w/ suregrip. Message: well i can keep up with stock cc r/t's in my heavy gen3. i would imagine your truck could blow any stock r/t off the road, even very lightly modded ones. i would hope so with all those mods. no, in fact no imagining about it, if i can keep up with a stock cc r/t, i know for a fact you would destroy any stock one on the road.

Message: Well, I have jba headers, R/T throttle body, intake tube with K&N, a borla exhaust and FMS injectors. Great improvements, but no way do I get close to an R/T. Waiting to go on are: 3.92 gears, posi, R/T Mopar Performance pcm, and a 360... which should have a nice performance cam, lifters and roller rockers.
97 3.9 CC Sport. JBA stainless headers, Borla Turbo XL stainless muffler & tip, 17 x10 Boyd Coddington Smoothies, FMS injectors, V8 TB, Quick D stainless air intake, Have but not Installed yet: 5.9 litre 360

Message: all i have to say is i wish i had my camera with me, stock cc r/t's are dogs, woof woof.
and just today read a post on here a guy said he drove a s/ced r/t and it felt like a 15 second truck, he says the 4.7 he drove was just as fast.
i can hit 0-60 in just about 8 seconds flat, considering r/t's run high 7's in 0-60 i can most definitley keep up with one. now rc is a whole nother story.

Message: I tried timing mine-- 5.75 to 5.9 seconds 0-60 on the motor... And about a 4.3-4.4 seconds on the bottle !

Message: Lesley, dodgeboy, thanks for the input I have been on this board for about a year now since I bought my 97 dak and it seems everytime I post something someone has to dog the v6 down well I just want to be a little different here and get this ol 3.9l humming in the 15 second mabye high 14 second area and then it will be sporty enough for ol Metalgreen.

Message: my truck could outrun stock rt's with the following mods:
mopar cold air intake
jet stage II module
1.7 roller rockers
msd 6a ignition
msd wires and coil
flowmaster muffler
jba headers
relocated iat
aftermarket throttle body
weight reduction
custom rear suspension
now i let a RT buddy of mine drive my truck like this and he said it felt faster than his slightly modded club cab rt. Weight does make a big difference.

Message: Ya I have looked at buying a R/T twice in the last 6 months and each time I drove one and then I got back in my truck and the ol v6 just seemed peppier to me. Who knows. I really like my truck and the way it feels and the color is pretty rare around my area to I have the only one its a Moss green with Metallic flake and it looks great when its clean and I want to have the first r/t 6 in the area to clean up with.

Message: I gotta almost pure stock 6 that'll wipe out any r/t8 out there. Yeah right,you give up 75 hp and more importantly over 125 lb.ft. of torque, and it comes with the 3.92 gears stock unless you have a blower and a bottle you ain't gonna get near it. Hey Dude, yeah you! Word! get me somma that, need to get all buzzed up again!

all i have to say about making dakotas goin fast is that mine kicks major ass!!! its a v6 with jet chip. cool air intake and headers. this babie has got a 3 in. spring lift and a 1 in. body lift with american racing weels and 31 swampers. not to mention a roll bar and side rails
