does anybody know if you need to lift the engine to change the oil pan gasget? it doesn't look like it to me but my Haynes book says i do???

it would be easier if you did lift the engine, but you can fit it in without doing so, It also make it easier if you unbolt the steering rack and move it outta the way for extra room to move the pan around.
