 Subject: add cruise control

I know that they make a kit to install the factory cruise control if you bought the truck without that option, (genIII). But do they make the same add on kit for the GenII? Or what parts from the junkyard will I have to pull out to install that option on my truck.

As far as if the kit is still available or not I can't help. I added a kit to my GenIII truck adn the parts gurus had to look for it. My local dealer said the kit didn't exist. I found mine thru www.dodge-parts.net after I called them and talked to John. He was able to locate a kit for me out of a warehouse in Cleveland. Good luck on your search.

Florida Automotive in St Pete, Fl has some cruise controls for Gen 2. Give them a call at 1-800-779-3555. I think you will have to get a wiring harness for it & they have that also.

Nope, that's the kit for the Gen III 97-98 model. That kit is the same one I bought for my truck from McKinney Dodge for about $175. It won't work on the older or newer model year trucks. Thanks for being on the ball and keeping an eye out though.
