Message: when all then people say that intakes only add like 2-5 hp and the companies say 10-15 who is telling the truth??
and if the really dont add as much as the companies say, how do they get away with saying it?
I also wonder whether people are talking about rwhp of hp at the crank(cause 2-5 at the rear wheel would be a lot more right?).
can someone clear this up????????????

Message: Ok, when people say it adds 2-3 they are typically talking about power to the wheels and at peak power. The companies look at it from the crank to get larger numbers, however the number is measured at it's highest increase across the RPM range, while it may add 5 to peak horsepower at the crank, it may add 12 ponies in the middle of the RPM range at the crank, not particularily at the peak HP.

Message: The companies numbers usually come from tests on small block V8's.
