Subject: Need a little help... IP: Logged
Message: I have an 87 Dak with a 3.9 that seems to be pouring to much fuel into the motor. I've looked at the carb but can't find the air/fuel screws. Can somebody shed some light here? Thanks in advance,
Mitch

Message: and says "the carb adjusting screws are factory sealed to keep dimbulbs from messing up their carbs" What do you mean by seems to be, has your milage all of a sudden changed? When you drain your oil, do you have more drained out then when you put it in? as that is a sure sign that unburned gas is leaking past the rings. About the only thing that can cause you to run rich in that carb is a bowl float that has become saturated with gas (foam type) or sprung a leak (copper tank type) and has become heavy, allowing too much gas into the float bowl, which will cause the main jets to flow too much gas.

Message: Thank you Sir for the info, I kinda figured there might not be any.
There is gas present in the oil, and it is fouling plugs, and when it warms up you can smell unburnt fuel in the light blue smoke that pours out. Those where my first hints:(
