Subject: dose not run good IP: Logged
Message: My 1992 dakota dose not run good when cold
It starts fine and idels fine but if i dont let it run for 30 min it will sputter and back fire throu the intake. had reacent tune up.

Message: Try changing the coolant temperature sensor. It is located in the front of the engine by the upper radiator hose. My 92 used to do the same thing. Installation was easy, but it is a dealership only item. It cost somewhere around $30. Hope this helps.

Message: This sounds much more then a temp sensor. This could be a million things from a serious tune up to ECM trouble. Let me know if the temp sensor works so I can reference this in the future bri.
