Message: Just got my new toys in. Got a 2002 SXT reg cab 2WD V6. Already got in a flowmaster exhaust. Just installed an Intense performance air intake and a Fastman TB. Much better throttle response. Gotta put in a good word for Dan at Fastman. I had lots of questions and did a lot of research on the TB and came to the conclusion that I would get a Fastman over a stock V8 TB. Installation was a breeze. Not knocking anyone who has a stock V8 TB, or a homebrew intake, but I think this was money well spent. Just got it all in tonight and although the PCM still needs to adjust, I could tell a difference right away. Woo-hoo! Already got a good sound system in and got some headlight covers so I think I am set with mods for now. I did have the windows tinted and removed all decals from the truck. Next service I may go with the Autolights, but other than that....I think I am set.

Message: You like that fastman?? Why not flowmetrics?? Just courious. Did it require a V8 throttle cable? As far as more mods, IAT relocate(Free)and a set of plugs weither U need them or not. the factory plugs are champion. The only thing those are good for is a lawnmower. I like Bosh Platuim's,the originals not the +4, +4's are a wast of money. That's what I've used for a long time. Other guys like the Autolights, either way is better than what is in there.

Message: Next servicing do the Plugs, 8mm wires, brass cap/rotor. The IAT mods is very cheap, and gets the upper throttle response.
As for "major" mod, I would say a power crank pully from aspracing if your stereo system isn't very large.
Electric fan
Roller rockers
headers

Message: Smitty...
I chose the Fastman over others partly cause price ($250) and partly because I got no BS from the guy at Fastman. I emailed with several question, and always got a prompt response, Dan gave really good customer service, so he got my business. I was able to use my existing throttle cable. Its not a V8 TB, but a modified V6 TB. Installation truly was easy. As for plugs, wires, cap, etc... I am still debating on doing them now or at next service. Truck only has 7k miles on it.
Dale, nope stereo isnt pulling that much power. I have a good sounding system if you are in the truck but am uninterested in folks 3 cars away hearing it. Havent read much about the power crank pulley... will have to read into it.
thanks

Message: n/p, aslong as your not running a amp bigger then 400 watts or so, and constantly thumping it, pullys can get you some low end power. They cost about 70-80 bux plus belt, and easy to install, just wear gloves when you do it (fan blade). And only get the crank pully. Heard many horror storys on dodges about the alt, and water pump pullys.
