Hey guys. Just a quick question. Everytime I accelerate out of a turn or after breaking, it starts to climb in rpms, then it just dips down to exactly 1 grand and will hang out there unless i let off the gas or accelerate harder. Also, this only happened once but when i was stopping at a light, something started to sound like it was whining in the general area of my transmission and then all of a sudden i lose braking control and the vehicle(the entire thing) begins to shake violently. This also happens when i slow down to take a turn. Not when i slow down but coming out of the turn, when i go to accelerate. A friend of mine was babbling something about how, since i have close to no backpressure on my system ( i've got 58" 3 inch wide open (no cats/no mufflers) sidepipes), it is messing with the vacuums that could potentially control my transmission in some way. Another friend was saying how my ABS module may be shot and the truck may think i'm braking extremely in these situations and engaging the ABS. I personally, although im no mechanic, think my transmission is going. I just broke through 110K miles on a 3.9 with the a500 and was wondering if anyone has had these symptoms or anyone knows whats going on. If it helps, the rear of my truck is jacked up almost 8 inches over stock and the front end is still at its stock height. I don't know why this would matter. Thanks.
