We don't have the smog testing here but i tested mine on my own and it passed even with a bunch of mods. Do you have a sheet showing the exhaust gas readings? If you post the results i can give you some ideas of what could be wrong.

Mugsy,
To help lower your smog readings, I would first try a minor tune up (air filter, plugs&wires, cap&rotor, fuel filter, pcv valve, etc. If you have done these in the recent past, I would move on too checking your O2 Sensors, Catylitic Converter, EGR"Exhaust Gas Recerculation" system. And if that still leaves you now where, I would try to do a Fuel Pressure Test, Compresion test, and check to see how much voltage your TPS, IAC, and your MAP sensors are putting out, and your Fuel pump if you get desperate. It may already be time for the tune-up, but i think a simple fuel presure test or compresion test may lead you in the right direction. I hope that my information to you is accurate and leads you to cleaner emmisions.
