Subject: check gauges? IP: Logged
Message: my check gauges light recently came on for a brief moment. the temp was way high, but when i let off the gas, the needle went back to normal. i pulled over and checked the water level, added some water and it seems that the problem is solved. is it common for the light and needle to do this? thanks

Message: possible sounds like their was an air pocket in the system. Right where the temp sensor is, that would be the only thing i can think of that would cause this to happen.

Message: Change thermostat. May be first sign it's going bad. They'er cheap, not bad to change plus you can put 180 degree back. May not happen again or it may be waiting for you to be miles from home, no tools, on a Saturday evening at 9:01pm with all parts stores closed.
