I have a v6 Dakota and I want to know what kind of gears do I have in the back. It is a 2000, and if no ones knows how would I find out.

Look in the glove box there is a sticker listing rear diff ratio and other options.
2001 4.7 5sp 3.92 LSD sport plus
Ported throttle body, IAT adjuster, flowmaster cat back, adjusted TPS from .51v to .76v
Working on custom 4" cold air intake

actually the "Kind of Gears" you have is helical. your "gear ratio" is a different animal, but that is what some on here seem to think you mean.

go to dealer and ask for a info sheet that gives all info on your dakota when made
