Subject: MAJOR Backfiring Problem. IP: Logged
Message: I Have A 94 Dakota V6 With 103,000 Miles And The Thing Backfires Like Its The Forth Of July Comming Out My Tailpipe. I Have K&N Gen I Intake, V6 Ported TB, Flowmaster 40 Series Muffler And No Cat. Ive Done A Tune-up, Checked Timing, Checked For Vaccume Leaks. Im Thinking It Might Be My Fuel Pump Making Me Run Lean Or My O2 Sensor Gone Bad Or Something Else. Let Me Know What You Guys Think And Get Back To Me. Thanks For Ya Time And Help.

Message: Another possibility is your plug gap. I think .035 is what it should be. Or like you said your fuel pump.
