Subject: idle races IP: Logged
Message: I've got a 98 Dak V6, about 36k miles. If you rev the engine in park, it will go to 3000 rpms then slowly return to idle. The belly pan gasket was replaced about a month ago, new mopar map and tps sensor. The IAS is new from Autozone. Has anyone had a similar problem? If so what was the fix? Any suggestions on what to try next? Any help appreciated.

Message: sup jay,
i had the same prob with my 98, i had the
IAC sensor replaced and it fixed the prob.
Now i think that the IAC has to be tuned?
Could be wrong but once the mechanic put it
on the truck was still reving to 3k and then
the master mech didn't something to it(tuned it?) and it fixed it
now you know thats..................
