Message: apparently i'm not doing the tbs. i have intake, exhaust, and pulley. what next guys? i was a little leary of the 1.6/1.7 rr's because there are a few things that can go wrong there, and i;m looking to keep it cheap. can an IAT adjuster be removed later on down the road?

Message: Yeah, you can remove the iat adjuster by splicing the two wires to the sensor back together. Depending on what you feel like spending, I would highly reccommend a flometrics Throttle body. That was the single best thing I did to my truck.

Message: not necissarily go wrong, but it's more or less a pain in the a$$ really get what you want out of it for the money. for a cheaper option you can go with aluminum if you don't mind adjusting them again later (or, if you run your truck hard, having them fail on you). so you're left w/ steel, which is more expensive. then you're stuck w/ the fact that crower only sells them with their pushrods and guide plates, so it's even more expensive. not to mention the fact that i don't feel like replacing my valve cover gaskets after putting in the rockers. just a PITA for me, that's all.

Message: If you are looking to keep it cheap, you could move the IAT over to the rubber flex hose between the airbox and the Tb hat. Use a 1/4 inch pipe plug(.89$) for the hole where the IAT came out of the intake manifold.your wires should reach to the far end of the flex hose(airbox end)Just cut a small "x" and push the IAT in. For 89 cents you'll see a differance that you can't beat dollar for dollar.
