Subject: Check engine light IP: Logged
Message: Ok, here's the deal. I was on my way home from work on Friday, and my check engine light comes on. I was only 5 minutes from home, so I kept driving, but watched my guages closely. I was already late getting home and had somewhere to be, so I just parked it. The next day I went out to start it, and the light was off. I drove around town on many small trips, and nothing. Then on Sunday, driving to my parents house, it came back on. I did the test to check for fault codes (hold the trip reset, and turn the car to accs position) No fault codes came up, and it's been fine ever since. Any ideas what may have caused the light? Thanks.

Message: Most of the fault codes are for emissions so there not a big deal. If it blinks then you have problems.
If it is just going on and off occasionally it could be that you have an o2 sensor getting ready to go.
