Autolite 3923 Plugs. What is a good gap for these? I have the 3.9 V6, thanks. Also what is a good size plug wire? 8mm, 8.5mm or 9mm

Tried putting in my 3923s the other day. I checked and found a 3/8 spark plug socket fits the 3923s but the stock plugs are bigger. Anyone know the right size socket to remove the stock plugs.
Thanks

I just installed the Autolite 3923's and Borg Warner cap and rotor kit. My Dakota has never sounded better. I set the gap at .040, my plug gap tool goes up to .090 and when I checked the gap of the old plugs, there was room between .090 and the plug. I'm surprised the truck even ran.

I saw on a webpage for Dak's that the Autolite 3923's can give an increase of 5HP. Any truth to this or does that depend on the engine? I have a 2000 3.9L V6 w/ no mods yet, and for $1 a plug like the page also said, I may make that mod. real soon. Let me know what you guys think. Thanks

I have only had the time and funds to do these easy MODS that are posted on this board and I have seen a great improvement in the performance of my V6. I just put 8mm wires on it today. The 3923 plugs were a mod that did show an improvement.

nows heres a stupid question. when you buy new spark plugs, they always come with that little metal washer/spacer for each plug, whatever its called. Question: I assume you suppose to always use this right? and if so, and which side goes toward the plug, the flat side or the other side? thanks and please excuse my ignorance.
