The maintenace free battery in my 97 Dakota is showing NO COLOR at all. My truck will start but
will turn over a couple of times before starting.
It will aslo die on me when I take my foot off the gas. Is it time to get a new battery????

Same thing happened to mine 2 months ago, one day it was perfect, then at midnight 5 minutes prior to a 500 mile road trip it just up and died (Green indicator also disappeared), I would get it jump started and have to keep the revs up just a bit to from stalling, Once swapped everything worked just fine as before

Yup mine did the same thing. Turned out to be a bad battery. I replaced it and all is well.
