i have a 1994 dakota sport just like yours but mine is white. I have a modded air intake a 40 series flowmaster shift kit and a higer stall converter than stock. i was wondering how much shot i could put on my some what stock motor.
i also have the a/c belt off. i need just enough to out run a 71' chevy lwb with a good 350.
im just gonna run him one time would a 75-100
shot hurt it for about 5 sec.

please tell some tips and pointers to do to help me out.

You can run 100 no problem.
I have used higher shot and not noticed anything harmfull but they say theres to much detonation with any shot over 100.

You will not believe your little white Dak with 100 shot, I mean you are in V8 whoop ass territory with that.

I have recently beat another Dak R/T with a few bolt on mods and a Civic with engine work and a fogger setup.

If you dont hve one, get a NX system, put 50 pills in it and see how it feels. Then step up to 75 or 100.
I have been through 10 10lb bottles since I have had NX, I started with 50 went to 75 and have had 100 in since I put the L/S rear in it.
No sign of damage what so ever.
If you have an open rear you WILL have traction problems any soht over 50 maybe less.

Make sure to use high octane and octane boost if you go over 50.

I GAVE MY BUDDY THAT IM GOING TO RACE A RIDE IN MY V6 DAK AND HE SAID DANG!!
HE SAID HE DIDNT KNOW IF HIS 71' LWB WOULD BEAT IT.HE SAYS THAT HE HAS A H.O. 350? WHETHER OR NOT THAT MAKES A DIFFERENCE I THINK I CAN BEAT HIM BECAUSE I HAVE A GREAT WEIGHT ADVANTAGE OVER HIM.BUT IM AM STILL WONDERING IF I SHOULD PUT $50 ON THE RACE, HE DOES HAVE A SET OF STREET/DRAG TIRES ON THE BACK. LIKE I SAY IF I CAN JUST ROLL OFF THE LINE TO ABOUT 20 MPH AND THEN HIT THE JUICE I CAN BEAT HIM.

ONE LAST QUESTION:SHOULD I RACE IN DRIVE with o/d off OR SPEED SHIFT IT AND LET IT REV OUT??
ALSO WHEN SHOULD I HIT THE JUICE (mph)??

I have a 98 Dak, spraying 100 into it. I dont go off miles per hour when i hit it, I always spray when im above 2000rpm and at Wide Open Throttle

white- I would leave it in drive,if you happen to get it into the rev limiter with all that N2O in the intake it could be ugly. Make sure to wire it up with a WOT switch, controlling the N2O yourself can be very dangerous and because it will be on a WOT you can wire in a master just before the WOT and control it maually. I hit mine after the spinning slows from a N/A launch.
Also, please turn caps off.

Greg- I have only be able to drive her once a week and sometimes none for months now. I have been slammed with work and had no time.
Oh, and YES that stuff is the best!!
I am gonna put 150 pills it it and let it eat, I need to blow the six so I have a good reason to put a 360 in her!!

Im still learning about the nitrous systems but i was wonderin if you guys could fill me in on what WOT and N/A stood for. I was assuming WOT was wide open throttle but im lost with the N/A. Also do either of you know of a place i could read up on putting in a nitrous system, like required and suggested parts for a set up. Sorry about all the question, just hate being in the dark on such an interesting subject.

and you were correct on the wot.

www.nitrousexpress.com (i think that is the site) has a lot of good info. Check it out and see if its right for you.
