Hello,

When I put my truck into 4x4 HI, I notice that it sticks when going around corners. You can actually here some sort of noise. I'm gonna be calling my local dealership for repair (under warranty), just didn't know if anyone had a similar issue or has ever heard of this??

Is this happening on dry surfaces??? If so, its normal. Chances are you have part-time 4x4. In that case when you switch into 4WD, both front and rear driveshafts get locked together. When you go around turns the wheels will try to travel different distances. But, front and rear are locked together so all you'll do is bind up the driveline. This is probably whats causing the "sticking" you speak of. If you gun it hard enough, you'll notice the truck will hop and skip, which is the wheels spinning to "unbind" the driveline. You SHOULDN'T do this because its BAD on the drivetrain components. Thats why with a part time transfer case you shouldn't turn in 4WD on dry surfaces... only on slippery / loose surfaces where the wheels can spin a little. I had the same thing happen to me once, I had it in 4WD and didn't realize it and tried to turn hard out of my driveway slowly...well the truck just stopped dead in its tracks lol.

A full time transfer case has a differntial between front and real axles which will allow you
drive in 4WD all the time.

Do a search on this site for "transfer case" or "Part time" and you should get lots of info ont he topic.

Just to add one more comment to the other good advise. Make sure your tires are the same Make, Size, and wear percentage. Even a small difference in tire circumferance will greatly effect the ability of the transfer case to release due to binding.I deal with this issue all the time up here in the North East.
