Hey guys, i was just wonderin how many miles you have on your v6's. I've got little over 170,000 on my 88, doesnt burn oil at all or leak water, just the damn thing pings.

45000mi On a 2001. Have you tried useing better gas? If so try a decarbon kit. It takes about 30 min to do. cleans the injectors valves ect.

I have just over 80,000 miles on my 97 V6'er
Most of the miles are high way miles.
No major problem's sofar, BUT I have to wait to get back home from Korea and see what damage my wife has done. She said she broke it so it has been sitting since April or May of this year with the Battery disconected. I'm going home in Jan 03

104,000 on my 99. I've been using 93 octane gas since early on with this truck; I get the same miles per dollar as regular and the truck runs better.

I have a 92 with 135K and I've had her for 58K of that in the last few years. Runs great, use 89 octane, Mobil 1 oil and filter.
K&N, '01 wheels, Window Tint, Harley-Davidson badging, red underbody kit, ext.
Window covers, Harley-Davidson mudflaps, custom cat-back exhaust,
head/taillight covers, ventshades side and rear, ram air on the way. Autolite 3923s, 180 T-Stat

Damn, Load a miles you all got, I have 75,000 Miles on my 88 Dakota Sport Runs great! Leaks nutin, burns nutin, all is well...Except for that gas leak that I posted on the forums but thats fixed, jus a small problem.

89000 miles on mine 92 had only one problem with distrubutor drive gear due to the the distrubutor shaft bearing being worn out took me about 30 minutes to fix and haven't had a problem since.

I've got 28,000 miles on my 2001 that I got on July 5, 2001. Mostly highway miles, no problems with the engine yet, have had a couple of problems with the front torsion bars, but the engine hasn't given me a single problem.

MY sidekick has a 93 cc 4x4 as of sat when i serviced it it has 291385 and still strong he bought her new only replaced transmission at aroung 255000, 1 starter, 1 alternator at 285000
2 water pumps at 199000, first pump was a reject
and it needs a idler arm soon

97 3.9l, 107,??? miles, 2 timing chains, belt tensioner, few sensors, plenium gasket. Used nothing but 87 octaine, and vavoline 10w30 or 10w40 weather accordingly.
Now I have a damn rattle im trying to find, ARGH, I hate rattles !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've replaced the timing chain, upper and lower ball joints, tranny sensors, cat 3 times, passenger wheel hub assembly. No pinging ever.

9300 or around there in my '02 3.9 4X4 QC. I got it... Almost a year ago now. I did the deal on 10/30 and picked it up 11/1. I love this truck. I've added new Autolite spark plugs, a Turbo City intake, a Dynomax muffer, a V-8 TB and relocated the IAT... Next year it's probably injectors, TPS adjustment and (hopefully) replacing the clutch fan with an electric one. The power is acceptable (for me) now after the latest round of things I've done... I'm hoping the next round will make it really wake up.
I had a Gen II CC that had about 60,000 on its 3.9. That one didn't run as good as this one, but I didn't buy that one new, either.

Wish I knew. In March it had 10,200km before selling it. It was 6 months old at the time. All I did to it was mod it. IAT, CAI, Clears, tints, etc.
I miss the damn thing every day I get into my 4-door. Although in the snow I'm sure I'll be cursing less, damn peg legs.

What is a decarbon kit? I have never heard of anything like that before. Since my truck has sucked at getting decent gas milage lately, I would be willing to try anything.

I've been looking at the EPA fuel consumption figures on the '03's. It lists 18 mpg around town and 20 on the highway. Are these real world figures or are they blowin' smoke? I don't plan on pulling anything so thought the V-6 would suffice for power. What do you think?
