Message: it would have to be a custom job....
just get some forged pistons bored .040 over, mild cam, 1.6 rr, twin turbo (dont get too big), two air to air intercoolers (cheaper), 52 mm throttle body, custom pcm, 54 lb hour injectors,.....
wow that list can go on!
good luck!

This company doesn't list one for a V6 but they do the 5.2 looks like they would be a good place to start.

Message: yeah i figure it will be a custom job. i'm gonna have the heads ported as well so the rr and such will already be in place. its a long ways away though. since it is a everyday driver it will need to have as little down time as possible. so i will have to have everything together at once. i figure no more than a week at the most. but i will have to come up with the money first. so thanks for the input and keep your eyes open. i'll let you know if i find anything.

Message: ok need some help i have to admit i'm fairly new to this. but hopefully it will help us all. ok the stock stroke is 3.31 from what i've found. i dunno bought the compression. what kind of compression should i go for. i'm gonna get the heads ported and such so give me some ideas. i'll ask them bout the strok and see how big we can go but they need a compression ratio. thanks

Message: ok talked to the guys at strokerkits.com all they
can come up with is a $1800 steel crank. the rods
will be the same as in the 360/408 stroker. the
pistons will have to be custom made. i got them
looking into that. so i will keep yall updated

Message: OK here geos the email i got "The cost on a custom
dish piston is $ 102.50 each. The crank is about
$ 2050.00 and the H - beam rods are $ 375.00 . A
good set of rings and bearings will run around $
150.00 . It will take at least 6 weeks to make the
pistons and the crank." so our grand total will be
around......$3200. if yall want me to ask about a
group buy then let me know. if i can get some
people before i ask that might help some. since
the pistons will be custom made you can go anysize
most likely. i plan on goin .040 over. but i'm
sure we can get a few of each made if needed. so
let me know.

Message: ok asked bout the stroke and such he'll get back
to me on that as for a group buy he said they
could probly only bring it down to around 3k not
much less with around 5 people. being custom and
such does make it expensive. so i'll let yall know
bout the stroke and such

Message: ok here goes
"The 340 / 360 stroker cranks are 4.00" stroke .
Having a Billet made you can have any stroke you
want ( would not recommend going over 4.00" )
Boring your block .040" with a 4.00" stroke you
would gain 55 cubic inches . Which would bring you
to 294 cubes. If you are making 1.3 horsepower per
cube that would be a nice increase."
so there you have it. so if anyone is actualy
interested in this let me know and we'll see what
we can do about the price. now who wants to tell
me how to come up with a random 3k?
Greg
1.3hp per cube would bring us to 382hp of course
that will involve some kinda helper to get that
much. since we make around .75hp per cube right
now

Message: greg,
if you wanted to base the stroker kit off of the 318 stroker, couldnt you just get the pistons from the 318 stroker and save a LOT of money not having to have custom pistons?
just a suggestion

Message: Here is a easier way instead of having a custom crank ground have them weld your crank and resize it to the proper stroke i know this sounds chessy but it is a cheaper alternative, and it has worked on my Buddies 418 CI small block and just a thought guys and this motor survives in a much more hostile enviroment than most of us are gonna ever put our trucks through.

Message: pistons on the 3.9 and 5.2 are the same but the rods are not, the 5.2 rods have a bearing surface about 1/8th inch larger thus also having larger rod journals on the crank...i found this out the hard way while building my 3.9..doh
