Hey everybody i need some opinions on what mods to get and in what order. I've read about v8 throttle body's, exhaust (which kind or a muffler?),headers, roller rockers, and so on, but in what order should i get all of this? Im really tired of driving my bone stock v6, its way to slow. Please respond quickly, i plan on doing a mod every pay!

thanks

Harold

get a nice intake. and a muffler. then get some
headers and a trottle body. new sparkplugs new
wires, underdrive pully, electric fan, theres a
ton of cheap mods out there. and yeah some will
cost you a lil more like the rockers and such but
it'll be worth it in the long run. good luck on
your mods.

Here’s what I’ve done so far; pulled the Clutch Fan (more responsive, keep in mind, my Dak came with an electric fan as well) installed a 180° T-Stat (Cooler is better, to a point) Put a K&N drop-in filter (Flows better, longer) Pulled the multi bend air intake from the front of the air box, installed heavy dryer duct to the front of the engine compartment (cheaper than the cone style air intake setups, & you get outside cooler air to boot) V-8 Throttle body (Better airflow, bought mine used from Car-Part.Com a nationwide network of Salvage/Junkyards ($56.00)) Did the TPS mod (help throttle response) IAT relocation (tricks the computer into giving you a richer fuel/air ratio) new plugs, distro cap, rotor & wires, a FlowMaster Delta 50 muffler (what comes in must go out) and most recently an UnderDrive Pulley (Crank) help reduce parasitic loss.
All this for about $350.00, I’ve noticed that my Dak is more responsive, and positively jumps above 3,000 RPM
I’ve been reading these forums for about 5 months and these guys (& girls) have been invaluable for me, I hope they will be for you as well

thanks. anyone have their opinion on what kind of intake? muffler? and throttle body? and cost of these 3, i'll buy them at seperate times so i need an individual price. Will chopping off the cat converters help me when installing a single in dual out muffler? I was told it would give me alot more power off the line? thanks for everything so far. i love my dak and im ready to put as much money as i need into it. It may take awhile but hey tahts part of it.

i have a airaid intake ($150) alot of people
recomend K&N but i have no complaints. price is
about the same. i have a flowmaster 30 series
delta flow. ($100-including buying some extra pipe
and hangers to run it straight out the back) i
love the sounds. droans a bit but i love it.
trottle bodies you can pick up jsut bout anywhere.
if your in to doin your own porting and such jsut
go to a junkyard. other than that fastman.com has
some custom ones for around $250. again if your
lookin for cheap mods get a underdrive pully, new
spark wires. truckperformance.com you can shop by
car make. jsut put in your info and have fun.
really good sight and decent prices. best part is
they give you a rough idea of the performance
gains you will get from some of your mods. hope
its helps

Greg
