Capital Raceway, friday night, 5pm-11pm, $15 to
race. i see all kinds of daks all over the place
when i drive and mabye only 4 at the track
including myself. and two of those are r/ts. i'd
like to see some other 6-bangers up there so i can
have something reasonable to compare my dak to.
even if you dont wanna race its always good time
to come up and watch the other cars race. watching
those ricers get smoked by some wholesome american
mucsle is always fun. so anyone that has friday
night free and wants to find out what their dak
can do, should bring it up there. if anyone needs
directions just let me know. its real easy to get
to. Hope to see a few of yall up there.

I would deffinately like to roll up to capital on friday. Your talking about Friday the 18th right? I agree with u, other than a couple R/T's, i never see any dakotas at capitol but i see them hooked up everywhere else. Where do u live greg? You will recognize my dakota because yesterday monring i hit a van so my front bumper is a little bent. Greg what do u have done to your truck?

Yeah friday the 18th. i'm goin up when i get off
work so it'll be like 7/8 before i get up there. I
live in severn. yeah theres not many daks up
there. i have a 00 reg cab.5spd, same color as
yours, with a custom grille(gutter guard, needs to
be fixed as well), a snapdown bed cover, jba
headers, airaid intake, relocated iat. new spark
plugs, and a flowmaster 30 deltaflow series. the
interior accessories are painted yellow. somethin
else i need to redo. i have new 8mm jba wires on
the way as well as a underdrive pully. should get
here friday but i don;t think i'll have time to
put them in before i hit the track. but yeah i'll
be up there. i use the same #'s everytime: 555
so i'll look out for yours. and hopefully some
more people will see this post and head up there.

Good Good we need some more though. theres so many
daks in our area. i wanna fill like an entire
stageing lane with nothing but daks. that'd be a
sight. i'm hoping jsut to put this back atthe top
of the page to get some attention to it. ok so
who's stock and whos got mods. waht kinda mods
your got if you got any? mine are listed up the
page a bit. is it friday yet???

its realy east to get to. $10 to watch $15 to race. gotta fill out a lil paper work to race. not much just you name address and such. so bring a pen. its right off of Rt. 3 you can get dirctions from the above link obviously. and there are signs so you can't miss the turn. don;t get discouraged after you make the turn the track is about 1/2 mile down the road. only a few more days.

Your friend with the lime green dakota...did it used to be red? If so i think it's the same guy i talk to sometimes at Ritchie Highway "Glen burnie" on the weekends.

Friday night is Test and Tune night according to the webpage.
I'm in Annapolis so Crofton is an easy drive.

oh i'm all kinds of ready to go. got my new
underdrive pully which will go on tomorrow
morning. were also puttin headers na my budies
truck so he'll be slightly faster but still slow
as sh@t upstairs. haha. as for who will be the
fastest dak....... i don;t know if i'll be the
fastest but i knwo i wont be the slowest. best
time so far is a 16.3. hope to see yall tomorrow i
plan on getting off work no later than 7:30 so
i'll be there by 8 at the latest.

not to my experience we usually roll in around that time and get at least two runs. depending on hwo many cars decide to break something we might get 3. but i'll have to see when i can get out of work. (wait till boss turns his back then dip out the door) but we'll see. well time to go install my new toys. see yall tonight.

DOH!!! ok well tonight was a bust (for me at
least) first off....we could not have run into
more problems with my friends headers. broken
bolts, no one had gaskets in stock. you name it,
it went wrong. so we finally got it together at
about 8 still had a lil exhuast leak. jsut
couldn't get a good seal. he went home as to not
worsen the situation. so i headed to the track. i
was all ready to improve on my time of 16.3 from
last week, since i put in my new pully and new
wires. while i didn;t expect to do all that much
better i figured a 10th of a sec would be
acceptable. well i burned the tires up in the pit
nice problem is i did it at the line too. had to
drop it into second to get off the line. still
beat the mazda i raced but i pulled a 17.16. so i
was a lil dissapointed and yes that was my only
run of the night. didn't get to the line till
10:20. so overall tonight was a bust for me. but
what bout you all? who made it up there? times?
mabye next week will prove some better times for
me.

I was there till 10:00...times were crappy though still have some bad hesitation. best time was a 15.30@89 with a 2.1 60ft.........

I wasn't able to make it up to capitol due to unavailable funds. I had to pay my truck payment and my insurance yetster day so i was totally broke. My friend went to Cecil Co Dragstrip with his '99 Honda civic Ex (15.003 @ 94mph) and he said that he saw a Standard cab 3rd gen dakota run a 15.3, (This one had a 5.2 318 in it tho) so i think that your probobaly doing pretty good dodgeboy. Greg last time i raced i did a nice burnout too in the wetbox too, and when i pulled up to the line i smoked em for about 3 seconds not knowing what was going on until the smoke traveled in front of my truck (21 second run.
My best run tho was a 17.19 and i only peeled out a little at the light. So don't feel bad because your horrible 17.16 is still faster than my all time best 17.19.
