Subject: Backfiring IP: Logged
Message: why does my 2002 dakota qc backfires in throttle body, i noticed that when removed my intake filter and revs, the throttle backfires. mine is 5mos. old 2600 mileage they checked everything on my engine but everything was ok. they already replaced my iac motor but it seems that it didn't improved. my engine has rough idle, my engine dies.

Message: You may have a bad cat. Mine has caused this for some time. It gave no tell tale signs that it was the problem. I got clogged with oil from bad belly pan gasket leaking into intake. The O2 sensor would tell the engine to go real lean once it warmed up and cause it to stumble and backfire through the tb.
