i read somwhere on here that there is a fix for a noisy timing chain. well i have done plenty of searches and all i find is people wanting to fix a timing chain but no explanation of how to do it. some posts say just not to worry about it, id like to fix it if i can. so, how do i fix it?

Best advice if you want to do it yourself is get some type if sevice manual.

i just bought my 1995 ext. cab 3.9 and i just took it in b/c the dealership is paying for everything but he said it was a pain in the butt to fix. it is a really annoying noise eh.

Anyone locate a gear-drive replacement? Preferably one with dual idlers that doesn't require a reverse rotation camshaft? I figure one would work off a 318, since it's really the same engine, but haven't found any except a single idler gear drive...

Just curious really. Making a 'wishlist'.
