I have a 3" flowmaster that stops before the rear axil with a dip down, i was told that the piping is to big for a 6er, should i just get smaller piping or what?

For the V6 the tailpiping should be around 2.5"

3" is fine, as long as it's a single outlet muffler. If it's dual outlet, then it's not enough back pressure, unless your 6er is supercharged or turbocharged.
