You should be able to get it replaced for free. I have a 99 Dak and the cat was covered to 80000 miles. I just had it replaced at 76000! It only took them about a half a day to do it.

Im not sure about the muffler, mine still has the stock one one it. But from what I have read on here before, they have to replace it regardless of the muffler. I can't say for sure though.
