Subject: Porting the intake manifold IP: Logged
Message: My intake is coming off this weekend due to a slight oil leak. While i have it off i plan on port matching it to the heads. Anything elso i can do with the 3.9l intake to flow more air through it? I have a head porting kit and a variety of air tools.
BTW, current mods include, traction bars, CenterforceII clutch, Flowmaster exhaust, ported V8 TB, Underdrive pully's, Cowl induction, Autolite 3923's, 40hp shot of nitrous.

Message: If you didnt match the ports when you installed the V8 TB do so now. Bore em out to 1 7/8 to match the v8 TB.
If you have the older model with the large divider than grind off about 1 to 1.5".
if you feel real crazy than cut the runners down where the extend into the plenum. That can kill some tq but with N2O it will help you in the upper RPM range.
All I have mentioned will take considerable time to do, if you have even more time then polish all interior surfaces.
Good luck.
