I just found this sit. It's great. I also resently picked up a 98 reg cab dak with a 3.9. I've been going over the message board and have decided to spend some time and $$$ on improoving the performance of my 3.9. Over the last couple of days i've read a lot about swaping ot my stock tb for one from a v8. Is this a good starting point, or should i start with an exhaust, ignition, itake componants, or something else. I want to do this sort of one step at a time, and will keep everyone posted as to my progress and gains. I'm looking forward to hearing your tips and advice.

1. distributor cap and rotor button - Borg Warner or one with brass contacts
2. new plug wires and maybe autolite 3923's
3. cold air intake
4. exhaust
5. V8 TB
6. relocate IAT sensor and possibly TPS sensor mod
That's where I started and saw noticible gains. Do the mods a little at a time and do your homework on the parts. Take your time and have fun!
