Hey all,

I am ready to order a new V-8 throttle body and was wondering, does anybody know of a site that has the installation process listed?

I think I know what I'll need to do, just want some confirmation.

Thanks.
jim

I am not sure if speedtweaks.net shows, or their is some site on 4x4 dakotas. But trust me, do a search on this site, it has been discussed quite a bit, and I myself have typed it out before, along with others.

Try this site. It covers how to port your TB, nothing I've seen on installation though....

very easy to do you don't really need instructions. there is only 4 bolts to remove and slap on a V-8 cable(for your gas pedal) if you own a set of wrenches you could probably figure it out
Installed mine in 15 min

FMS injectors, Autolites,clear corners,V8 TB ,
Pro Comp es9000,Airraid intake, R/T rims on the way

Well....that sure makes it sound like an easy task, yep, my dad has plenty of tools. (And no, he has no experience with trucks) Ok, if i were to get a V8 Tb, where would be the best place to get it? at the cheapest price? Now now, i'm not looking at a price range of 200+...more like around 100 or less if i could. Hey, i'm a teenager, i don't have a job. Only over the summer i do. That's where i getting my money for the truck from.

go to a wrecking yard and try to find one anything from a 5.2 or 5.9 dakota, ram or durango will work try to get the bracket that holds the cables too it will make your conversion less painful. you can get some good gains out of this simple mod (i'm assuming you have a V6 )

Well, yes, you assumed right, i have a 3.9L V6. I need power man, i just got my muffler, the Ravin', and it has added a bit of power to it and saved gas mileage too. Anywayz, will the 5.2 and 5.9 tb's work on my 3.9???

yes they will work you need to buy a V-8 cable that connects to your gas pedal you should get a cold air intake as well it will go well with your free flowing exhaust
