What would make my headlights not come on? All other park lights and all other functions work. The 2nd time I openned the hood they came on and worked fine on my 15 min drive to work. This is the 2nd time this happened.

After looking around this site, there seems to be a bit of trouble with the headlight switches on the Dakotas. Check your fuses then look at the switch. I'd be willing to bet it's the switch.
I think I have a problem with mine - no tail lights. It's going to the dealership for warranty work today.

Its also happened to me once, that was about 2 months ago, ever since then they have been working fine.

I changed the switch Sunday. Didn't want to get caught after work without lights. Switch was $15 at Advance Auto.

So I take it the switch was the problem then? Sure seems like a lot of daks have had this issue.

My 95 has signal lights, flashers, parking lights, taillights, backup lights and high beam if you hold the signal handle toward the steering wheel. I installed a new combination switch $70) @ Dodge), a new light switch ($20@ Dodge) the fuse is fine, light bulbs fine, they tell me no fusable links in the system. I have no lights off the switch.........Any answers? Thanks
