Message: Tried that, u get a hollow sound. I ended up cutting it out. Now I wish i'd just left it go. I'm running a Dynomax 17748 and get a cracking sound like a glass pack when accelerating.

Message: I had a shop cut my cat-converter off, then I cleared out a hole in the ceramic honeycomb about 2.5" dia. with a long section of pipe. When it was reinstalled, it still passed smog tests, but the performance gains were minimal.
