I recently had to do a brake job on my truck. I needed rotors extremely bad. All the local part stores wanted 50 bucks a rotor. I thought maybe if i would of searched around in some junkyards i could find them cheaper, which i did. So i go to this junkyard to get the rotors, which they are supposed to take off for me. I did not know this, and brought my own tools. I was waiting around for the guy to bring out the rotors, but he never came. So I got bored, and wandered into the yard. I found the dakota that i was supposed to get the rotors of off, and began taking them off my self. I had them off in just a few minutes. I pryed the hood open on this dakota to see what motor was in it, and too my surprise it was a 318. Since this was the same year truck as mine the first thng iwent to look at was the tb. sure enough, it was still there. i ripped it off, and took the cable too. i went back to the front counter topay for the stuff, and the guy said that since i took all the stuff off myself, he would cut me a deal. I got the rotors for $20 each(both in excellent condition), and then the tb and cable for only another $20. I couldn't believe it when he said it. The dakota that i goti t off of only had 72,000 miles on it.So i guess hard work can pay off!

Damn I typed alot!

Good snag on the TB. The rotors on the other hand, were probably aftermarket rotors (now way the stockers would last more than 60k on these trucks). You could have got new rotors, from autozone... $29.95 a piece. They are the same OEM units the truck came with (not the greatest, but cheap enough to buy 2 sets if you wanted to).

The stock rotors on out truck can usually only be turned 1 time, and after that 1 time, they usually warp out (being too thin, with a heavy truck... you get the picture)5-6k miles down the road.

I'll be selling stock TBs, brand new, with a warranty from DC in the very near future... Target price will be ~$175.00...

I have a few V8 TBs left, used... $90+ shipping... TB gasket included... They are in good shape, cleaned up.

If you guys REALLY want the performance, the F&B Billet 48mm is the best way to go... Sure, more money, but it's a sure thing (no need to change the throttle cable to a V8, etc.) Ask anyone who has picked up a V6 48mm F&B. Don't concern yourself with the size-- the 48mm F&B outflows a stock TB, and even the home ported jobs. It does have the correct velocity for daily driving, and will really open things up on the mid and top end. All F&Bs come with a 30 day return-- you buy it, don't like it, return it for a full refund.

If you are going to the Truckin Nationals in Chandler, AZ OCT 19-20th... I'll have Demo TBs onhand for people to try out (48mm for the 3.9L, 50, 52 for the 5.9 guys, 55x52 for the 408 strokers, and 68/70/72 for the 4.7L crowd).

Got a Viper??? We gotcha covered on that too...

Got a 4.0L Jeep??? Those are in production now...

The F&B Billet 48mm is $372 shipped... Completely new stainless mounting hardware, TB gasket (of course), correct TB linkage for your V6. Transfer your stock TB sensors to the F&B (using our stainless hardware), bolt it on. Reset your PCM-- fire it up. It's that simple.

30 Day money back guarantee-- you don't like it, return it for a full refund, no questions asked. I have them in stock, orders usually ship within 2-3 days of ordering (I am building tomorrow after work, so any orders before 4 pm tomorrow WILL ship on Saturday). I got kinda back logged recently- playing daddy takes almost all my extra time :P You can order with paypals off my website, or send a MO with your return address, phone number, etc to my mailing address (please put in what your are ordering-- I get a lot 'Here's a check for my stuff.' notes-- with no idea what the person wants! hehe)

Thanks,

Sam
