I have a 92 3.9 with a manual tranny. Is it possible to swap the manual for an auto without changing any of the electronics. If not where do I get parts for the manual. Right now I only have 1st, 5th and rev.

If you don't mind me asking but what happened to 2,3,and 4th? strip the gears???
As far as the Manual to Auto swap. I've seen it done but I can't remeber where.
Any one wanna help me out?

when you shift into 2nd, 3rd, or 4th it won't stay in gear keeps popping out. I have over 180,000 miles on it. I know it is need of some major TLC.

every thing is original. nothing has been done to anything except the occasional 30,000 mile oil change.

The flange on the tailhousing of my trasmission broke off where one of the rear mounting bolts passes through(Bad casting?).....Does anyone have any ideas on what I could do here....I tried a large washer under the nut but it still rattles. Thanks for your help!

Greg, you may be able to find parts at NAPA they sometimes handle different stuff than AutoZone. Maybe O'rielly's, I picked up an auto trans rebuild kit from them before.
Jay, you might be able to use a large U bolt that can go all the way around the trans, if you use one be careful you don't break the tail housing.
