i put a 205/60R15 on mine. (verry temporary) but if you are conserned about overloading your tires, check the load index on the smaller tire before you go small.

by changing to a lower profile tire, it would be like going to a lower gear (numaricly higher). it would be quicker off the line, but if you drive a lot of freeway, gas miledge would suffer.
if you ever take it to a track, find the lowest tire available and it will give you an advantage.
the only reason i put a lower profile on mine is because its lowered and i cant fit the stock size on it.
if your truck is stock height, it would look really retarded if you put on a low pro tire.

Eric, I lowered mine also...but Gen II. Do you have custom wheels on yours? I do, and I figure if you get a wheel that isn't off set, you could damn near get the factory tires to fit (depending on how low you went.) I would have to say that of all the customs so far this was the biggest b1tch. Figuring out what size tire would fit and then find the right gear to set the speedometer. I went really low pro the first time... wow did that look like crap. But to each his own.

I have a 4/6 drop with 20x8" rims (hence the name "kota on 20's") im running a 255/35R20 now and the overall diameter is a little smaller than stock, but it still rubbs a little. there is no way that the stock 215/75R15's would fit.
