Wholesale on a 2003 with 13K miles is only $10-$11K. $10k is too much for a 99-00

Current Black Book (retail) for a 99 V6 Sport CC Auto with 42K miles is:
Extra clean - 11,925
Clean - 10,800
Average - 9,200
Rough - 7,375

Add $2000 if 4x4, subtract $950 if manual tranny, add about $400 for an SLT

Actually you are wrong. He said "wholesale". The retail is NOT black book, it is blue book. Black book is wholesale. I haven't looked it up, but wholesale for the same truck is probably about 7500 extra clean and 4200 rough. But he never even said it was a C/C that is a 1500-2000 add on. The resale is probably about what you are displaying, but way less if it is a R/C Tom- yes they are good trucks, the tranny's are great, the motors are better. they look good, and run good too. I would suggest a v8, the gas mileage isn't that much different, but a 6 would be good too.

Black Book publishes BOTH wholesale AND retail values.
And yes, you are correct about the CC but since he didn't specify I simply guessed he might be looking at a CC since there are WAY more used CCs on the used market than RCs.

Depends on a couple things, weight being a big factor. 2wd or 4wd? Reg cab, CC? With mine i've hit about 19 tops. Have 113K with basically no probs. I avegage about 16-17.5 mpg combined city and hwy driving.

Get urself a v8. The v6 seem gutless. They both get around
the same MPG. And these trucks sometimes have sludge
problems depending on the owner before. Check the inside of
the oil valves by opening the cap where you put the oil in, put
Ur finger in there and if sludge comes out then it wasn't
maintained right. But that's just a guess, could still be bad. I
say get a v8 though, but I love my truck :) and yes it is very
reliable :). Things gone bad on it since I got it, were the oil
pump and heater core. And new brakes which I don't really
count. :) good luck. 3,000 doesn't seem like a bad price at all.

I am in a bit of a pinch, so I
have a 1999 Dodge Dakota Sport,
it's a rear wheel drive v6 3.9
automatic with 182xxx miles on
it. My transmission has a delayed
shift problem and dies in under 5
seconds without fail when idling
unless I put it in park or
neutral. Brand new transmission
filter and oil pan and oil. I ran
a diagnostic test and nothing is
wrong with the engine I have an
abs light on but no service
lights, does anyone have any
ideas????? I am in urgent need of
help the transmission shop told
me it's not the transmission but
even after I replaced my computer
still no indications that
anything is wrong with my engine
and even the guys at autozone
said that it's not the engine.
Someone please help it's been in
my family since it was bought
brand new in 1998 and I don't
want to lose it. Does anyone know
what it could be???

I am having a hard time figureing out a
vibrating issue with my 99 dakota 3.9 4x4.
Its when the weel is turned to the right
and its not all the time. When the brakes
are applied it stops. I cant figure it out
wondering if anyone has had this problem.
If it helps there have been brakes and
rotars recently put on it. And its comming
from the passenger side
