Subject: IAT relocation causing.... IP: Logged
Message: I relocated the IAT sensor on my truck to the intake manifold. It runs better and everything, but it seems that whenever it is around 75-80 degrees in the morning, it is tough to start. Sometimes it starts, idles very rough for a while, then after a few seconds, it starts running ok. I can live with that, but I worry what it will be like on 30-40 degree days.
Thanks

Message: you relocated it to the intake manifold??????
thats where they should be from the factory.... do you mean your air intake tube? if so then good... thats not whats causing your hard starting. Check for bad spark plugs or dirty fuel filter.

Message: Oh yeah, my mistake. The intake tube is where it is at.
I put in new spark plugs (3923's) and wires, so who knows.
Thanks

Message: go get a set of champion plugs and see if it changes... i have heard of a few people that had trouble with the autolites...
also just check your fuel filter and stuff like that. Just look at everything involved in a tune up
