Subject: V8 TB Question IP: Logged
Message: Would the tb increase or decrease your gas milage. If you wanted to buy and intake would you have to buy for a v8 motor or still order for the v6. Which is better the 5.2l or 5.9l tb. I am not sure but is the cruise control attached to the tb or would that be an issue. Any think else that I need to know please include in the reply.

Message: I am also curious about the above questions, except I'll add another... How hard is it to install the V8 TB?

Message: Gas milege should stay the same if your driving stays the same. You will use more gas if you floor it more often due to the increased tb size. You would need to buy a v6 intake. 5.2 and 5.9 same tb size. Cruise will hook up to the v8 tb,you will have to repl the t/b cable due to different hookup. You will also need a tb gasket. It is easy to install with basic tools.

Message: 88 dak is right on all of it. I found it very easy to hook up. Some people have trouble doing the gas peddle end. I suggest taking the throttle cable off the tb first, then do the peddle.

Message: I've got stock TBs... I am going to be offering the cables very soon as well...
As always though, I still sell the 48mm F&Bs that offer even more performance than the stock V8 tb (with the correct V6 linkage already on it). If you have switched cables, and want and even more kickass TB, I can make the 48mm F&Bs with a V8 linkage (just need to order it that way).

Message: Hey Sam, if I haven't done anything to my TB yet and still have the V6 TB, will the ones your selling work fine? Also how much would you sell them for? If the price is right, I might need you to set one aside until I have the money, still gotta pay off my deductible for trying to make an accord into a Dakota, hehe....
