I just installed a DynoMax p/n 17748, from summit, for about 47 buck to the door. Easy install, not too loud at all in cab, nice and throaty on the outside.

i bought the clamps for like 1.50 each needed 3

u need to get one side flared out a bit to let the pipe fit---- free

i bought a mendrel bent 9 degree peice--- $5

and a 2.5 inch to 3 inch adapter for a tip- $5

total was under $40 more like 35 took about 2 hours to install i had the old pipe off and could of saved it but i couldnt get it over the axle so i cut it

Hmm...well, i do sorta want a noticable sound but no loud interior sound. I also wanna sound sorta like a race car kinda thing, lol. I'v seen, or you might say, heard one of those race car imitation mufflers on trucks. Anywayz, i want a muffler that will give me more horses and torque, good throaty sound but no interior sound and good mpg. Any ideas?

Drew, go with the Dynomax Super Turbo #17748 that
pbxr went with. That's the one that I went with also and it is somewhat deep and throaty but in no way loud or annoying. I'm kind of an old guy and wanted the same thing you do. Driving home from the muffler shop after it was installed I almost wished that I had gone with a louder muffler but within a week I was way glad that I choose the Dynomax. It's just right.

Go Dynomax, you won't regret it. I installed Dynomax 17734, it gave me the extra horsepower I needed at acceleration and a nice deep sound. Not too loud, just right. Check it out at summitracing.com. I previously had a Flowmaster 50 series and it didn't give me the horsepower or sound I was looking for.

I had a heart throb duel exhaust for about 3 months. I had to take it off becouse my radio had to be cranked up half volume. Will the DYNOMAX give the HONDA sound? That is what im trying to stay away from. Also will the radio knob need to cranked up to overcome noise? Thanks

I have a 40 series flowmaster not delta flow and no CAT. It has a great sound that you can hear from a block and a half away, noticeable power difference, and the 02 sensor didnt throw a code when i took the Cat off. Its on a 95 3.9l. single in single out with a turn down.

I am running stock 3" pipe with a magnaflow high flow cat and flowmaster 40. Truck sounds great. Deep sound, actually sounds like a mustang 5 slow when you rev it. but it is noticably a v-6 above 3k rpm. but I love the way it sounds. Not excessively loud either.
