Message: I have to agree with rabbit...I too installed dynomax superturbo #17748 this past spring...I too wished I had gone louder but soon realized that this one was perfect. I think this muf sound nice...deep and throaty but not obnoxious...plus you dont loose any low end torque...it's probably the closest I can get to making my '99 3.9L V6 sound like a V8...Good luck making your decision.

Message: Could I buy a set of Dynomax headers, then just by a good Dynomax muffler and use the stock tailpipe? Would there be something wrong with this or should I just go to full 3 inch pipes?

Message: 3" exhaust is too big for the 3.9. headers, 2.5" y-pipe & 2.5" the rest of the way would be great for single. if you go with a single in dual out muff go with 2.5 in 2 - 2-1/4 out.
